Artist
I come from a small arid town of Nagaur in Western India, where henna was an integral part of festivals and marriages. I grew up watching my mother do it on herself and others on special occasions and started imitating her since I was seven. However the increasing burden of studies took me a little farther from the art.
I earned my Masters in Indian History in 2012, and moved to Canada in 2014.
It was at a local cultural event in Victoria when I saw an artist doing henna and felt that urge to pick up my cone again. I have since been blessed to have an opportunity to draw on 1000+ brides, friends, kids, seniors, families, students and more. And I have enjoyed every single one of it.
